Local Authorities
At Care in Finance we have experience of working directly for Local Authorities in both Adults and Children’s Social Care. We therefore recognise the needs of these Departments, particularly in today’s economic climate of ever reducing settlements.
We will provide, on behalf of our clients, any information regarding direct payments as required by the Agreement with the Local Authority, including certified reconciliations.
Where there are Safeguarding concerns (financial or other) we will alert Local Authorities through their safeguarding procedure.
We will work with families in transition from Children’s to Adult’s services, to ensure that the process is as seamless as possible, and assist this transition by helping families and carers work through the process of managing the direct payment.
In addition, Care in Finance are available to work with Local Authorities on their own aspects of Direct Payments and Personal Budgets, for both Adults and Children, which could include procedures, assistance with service user agreements or Resource Allocation Systems.
